Located next to the Soviet Union era Russian World War II Military Cemetery, is a section dedicated to those who served the Soviet Union during its occupation of Latvia. These were people of importance within the Latvian Soviet Union Government, which was known as; The Latvian Soviet Socialist Republic; Latvian: Latvijas Padomju Sociālistiskā Republika; Russian: Латвийская Советская Социалистическая Республика, Latviyskaya Sovetskaya Sotsialisticheskaya Respublika, also known as the Latvian SSR, was one of the republics that made up the Soviet Union.
