Welcome to Pāvilosta Saka Parish Sights in Courland,
With “TheCeļotājs” excursions of Latvian Cities and Towns as we visit the Town of Pāvilosta Latvia and explore Pāvilosta sights with our host and guide Marita Kurčanova of Pāvilosta Tourism Information Centre, located at Dzintaru iela 2, Coordinates: Lat: N56.88956, Lon: E021.17837
As we explore the town of Pāvilosta, we can see its early and present day history with its many wooden structures as well as modern day structures. Its old cobblestone as well as more modern paved streets one has to visit Pāvilosta you’re self to see its many historical sights as well as feel its historical heritage.
People associate Pāvilosta with the long sandy beach and fresh Baltic Sea waters. A place where one can enjoy pristine nature, peace and quiet, a place worth staying at. Feel the warm golden sand, step barefoot and carefree into the cool sea water, at sunset, take a walk along the coast alone, lost in thought, or together with the people you love, and find your own piece of amber.
Pāvilosta is home to tenacious fishermen families. The town is a paradise for Latvia's toughest windsurfers. In this town of low-rise housing, almost all the streets lead to the sea. The port, the marine, the large boulder by the sea, untouched nature and sharp sea air attracts creative people to this place. Once overrun by the Soviet Union Military, Pāvilosta now boasts a pristine beach where amber is generously washed ashore.
Pāvilosta is a quiet neat little town in Kurzeme, on the Baltic Sea coast in the West of Latvia.
This little town is a favorite with the active sports fans arriving in Pāvilosta each summer to enjoy the waves and the winds one only meets on the Pāvilosta coast.
